[From the White Family Page at "genealogy.com," author and accuracy unknown] After the war, he and his family moved westward to Bedford County, Pennsylvania. They cleared and developed a farm in an area that later became known as White’s Church. They had a very large family of twenty-one children. Three sons served in the War of 1812. One son, Ezekiel, was killed in the Battle of Lundy's Lane. Thomas White died September 13, 1820, and then was buried in Evans Cemetery located in White’s Church, Pennsylvania. His descendants and members of patriot's societies created a monument to his memory there, which was unveiled July 4, 1889. The inscription on the monument reads:
