Gail Freeman Eblen, 1945-2005
I was so excited to see Gail at our 40th reunion, never realizing that although I had not seen her for many, many years, that reunion would be the last time I would ever see her again.
I remember my friend Gail Freeman in 1964 as a mature and fun loving risk-taker. As a song girl, she was dedicated and loyal, never missing a practice. During brunch at Cupertino High School, I used to feel envious of her slim body as she ate a doughnut at brunch daily.
Though she suffered family tragedy in the death of her pilot father, she persevered and found happiness later in life with her husband Frank Eblen with whom she shared an optical business in Dallas, Texas. She had no children.
Gail died while waiting for a liver transplant. She will be greatly missed.
