Job
Hobbies: Auto Racing Community: Very involved with my church How are you the same as you were at CHS? Very energetic and full of life How are you different? I have become a very strong Christian and this changed my life in more ways than I can write on this page. What is your proudest accomplishment? Winning the Rolex 24 Hours of Daytona in 2004 Where do you live? house in the suburbs Parents: Father: deceased, Mother: living What have you been up to for the last 45 years? After CHS I attended San Jose State for a couple of years but majoring in Fraternity and minoring in Cafeteria set me up very nicely for Uncle Sam. Rather than get drafted I went into the Air Force in 1966. I served 1 year at Chanute AFB in Rantoul, Il. and 3 years at Pease AFB in NH. From NH I went to Guam (TDY; temporary duty) twice to load bombs on B-52s. After the AF I married Sherry Gozzi who I had meet while home on leave. Jo Kemling was my best man and he had met Sherry's roomate Carly and they stayed together for quite some time also. I went back to SJS and graduated in 1973. Sherry and I had two sons, Eric born in 74 and Seth born in 76. I started working for start up companies right out of college and did that for 30 years. They take a toll on you though. I divorced Sherry in early 78 and married Donna later that year. She and I had a daughter, Ashleigh in 1981. The start ups continued to consume me and I made my work the most important thing in my life....and lost Donna in 1991 to my second divorce. Two of the companies I helped start (Rational and Auspex) became wildly successful in the mid 90's. I remained single for 10 years. During that time my life changed incredibly. In 2000 I met Denise and she has been the most wonderful gift I could have ever imagined. She has 3 kids also and our children have become best of friends. All our kids are successful, happy and very well adjusted. They own companies, sell real estate, one is a Top Gun Instructor and a Captian in the Marines, one is a chef at a very upper end restaurant. We are so blessed. In 1995 I got involved in sports car racing and continue to be involved to this day. All in all life has been quite a roller coaster but I must say that these days I could not ask for a better life. A wonderful wife, great kids and of course the very best grandkids one could ever ask for.
