What have you been up to for the last 45 years?
Still working way too much and way too hard. But that what comes from having a daughter at 40 and asking my wife to become a stay at home mom.
After high school I finally caught on to the fact that education could be fun. Once bitten I didn't stop for a long time. I was lucky enough to get the chance to work my way through Foothill, San Jose State, Santa Clara U, Psychological Studies Institute and Stanford Med School's Physician Associate Program. The best part of this was all the different jobs I got to try on for fit.
I finally landed in Biotechnology where I am today. This choice provided me with the opportunity to travel abroad for five years on business before relocating my family to Germany. We returned in 2000 and and bought a home in Almaden Valley.
Of all my exeriences, seeing and living in different cultures has made the most lasting impressions. My daughter is a high school senior this year, so with any luck, I can actually start thinking about retiring in four years.
One of my closest friends is John Hinkle. We have shared a great deal together over the last 50-plus years. I have been very lucky and I know it.
